I focused only on bands as there are plenty of examples of individuals graduating from punk and hardcore into mature musical success as DJs or college rockers. Most of these bands couldn’t take a punch from their earlier selves, having matured and embraced “verses” and “choruses”, whatever that means. Some of these tracks might sound a lot better before you know who the band is (see the “Crisis” song, haha). Do you have the stomach for this.
