I want to celebrate Gene Clark’s No Other, one of the finest records. Gene Clark is heavy damage, beautiful song writer and maniac, some call this style cosmic country, some call it cocaine country, come call it unholy black metal, a perfect soundtrack for a road trip away from a disaster, a 3am train journey across the city with no particular destination but the end of the line, a 4am insomnia staring into oblivion, a 5am commute to work popping aspirin and squinting into torrential rain.
Here, a mix of studio outtakes from No Other and some other deep cuts that have taken their toll. No track list, soak it in.
